I have a small shop that I spend quite a bit of time in. It's non insulated, cinder block walls, 10' ceiling, approx 360 sq ft. Will chase the chill out of there in 15-20 min. Adjustable pole holds it just under 6' high. Base of heater is heavy with enough weight to keep it stable even at full extension. Twist lock on pole adjustment feels a bit inadequate, however, I've had no issues with it slipping as of yet

I assembled this heater from box opening to completion with my 7 and 9 year olds in about 30 min. One adult focusing could probably shave off about 10 min. The heater itself has 4 settings 0-3 (off, warm, warmer, warmest) it is operated by a pull cord. It wasn’t obvious at first but the settings can be found at the base of the head (see pic of the number 3) otherwise it would be hard to know what level you’re on. Ideally, this cold take the chill off of 1-2 people, outside, which is what I was looking for. I would consider using in a large cool building as well. It’s not very heavy, and so nice to not mess with the gas.

I needed a portable heater that is safe and affordable. This heater is just that. I checked out propane heaters and concluded that was not a good choice. They are not very portable at all. I want something that I can use on my patio, in my garage where I have a workshop area, and in my basement. I can do that with ease with this heater. I was not comfortable with the thought of having a propane heater in an indoor environment. With electric, that concern goes away. This heater has three levels of heat output and the only time I use the maximum level is on the patio. In smaller indoor areas, I get a comfortable room temperature using the lower settings. With the colder weather coming on, I can now use all areas of my house comfortably year round. This heater is an inexpensive solution to my needs for comfort in otherwise cold areas of my house. I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for similar solutions to their heating needs.

Quickly heats inside or out. Turns on with the pull string, modes 0 = off, 1 = low, 2 = medium, 3 = hot. It instantly starts providing heat. Can adjust the direction of the heater. Can adjust the height as well. Has a fairly solid (decently heavy base) to withstand some wind. Useful item.

For such a tall unit, the box seemed rather small. It was super easy to assemble such that I didn't even need to read the instructions. Having the screws already in their specific holes so you only had to remove them, put the piece in place and put the screws back; made the process quick and easy. Once assembled, I tried all 3 settings. There are 3 elements, and the unit is rated at 1500 watts so I presume that makes the settings, 500, 1000, & 1500. Again super easy. I could feel the heat on all 3 settings and look forward to trying it once it gets a little colder on my patio.

Even in Southern California with 2 sides of the house protecting the patio it could get a bit chilly out there. I ordered one of these and had it installed and it did help. but there are 4 of us and not everyone was feeling any of the heat so I ordered a 2nd one. They are installed on the ceiling. they do take the chill off and if you are sitting in the right spot will make the top of your head quite warm so, yes, they do exactly what I expected them to do. Now I'm trying to figure out how to keep my friend's wife feet from freezing out there. Overhead heaters don't touch her feet. Good product, and yes I would buy them again.

Works great and is a really nice size, not dominating our deck, I put directly above outdoor sofa about 2.4m from ground. Takes the edge of cold for two of us underneath. Doesnt make us hot but makes us warm enough that sitting outside is really comfortable. I don't think ig it's much further away it will give enough great. Works perfectly for us!
